Teryr Jones is a Vietnam-era veteran who has made multiple visits back to that country in support of the charitable organization, Maison Chance. On a recent episode of ‘The Current’, Jones talked with Heather and Trevor about the work he is trying to do to improve life in the nation he first visit as a combatant in war.
Also, on the show, stylist Chandra Prince looked ahead to her Artistry on the Runway event happening November 7, 2026. Prince owns Columbia’s Hair Bar. She is using her platform to advance programs that address mental health and suicide prevention.
Finally, on the show KOPN general manager Garrie Morris discussed the new teams that he’s piloting at the station. Morris recently created a handful of teams focused on promoting station outreach, doing remote broadcasts and more. The teams are an effort to get more members engaged in the station’s outreach efforts.
